EA SPORTS is proud to officially welcome Chicago Blackhawk #88 Patrick Kane to the family of cover athletes as he graces the cover of NHL 10. Kane and the young Blackhawks led the city of Chicago through a memorable playoff run before exiting post-season play after a tough series with Detroit.
Let me start by saying that boardplay is something that I’ve wanted to see in our game for a long time but the timing just wasn’t right. I remember when we sat down in pre-production for NHL 09, boardplay was on the list of features that we wanted to implement but by the end of prepro, there were just too many other fundamental pieces of hockey that we had to implement first….like a way to defend!

Rammer @NHL10 here to talk a little bit about fighting and how the feature became what it is today. First and foremost, let me say that we heard you loud and clear. Fighting in 09 was nowhere near good enough. It was basically a bad, one off mini-game that meant nothing to gameplay. (that’s enough about 09. I can’t even play it anymore after playing NHL10. It’s an interesting phenomenon that happens every year where you hit a point in development where you can’t go back to the last shipped version…I digress).
Europe Hockey League (EHL) will include Eastern Conference, Nordic Conference and Central Conference).The league will most likely start up before the 2010/11 season. We have a list of the teams most likely to be included!
